Key actions and milestones for 2017.
National Digital Coalition (NDC) members divided into 3 working groups: IT users, IT professionals, School community. Every group has a leader and has their own activities (meetings, visits, discussions etc.) accordingly.
Until 2017 year Stakeholders and partners of NDC performed their duties in the Coalition without any external funding using partners’ resources and different funds projects. The funding foreseen from EC project is very much welcome and will provide more possibilities for activities of NDC.
It is planned to organize NDC main Stakeholders’ meeting with Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition Secretariat’s staff on 30th March, 2017.
1. Communication between Stakeholders (participation in work groups organized by ministries and government)
It is foreseen to organize at least 4 Stakeholders’ meetings in 2017 in order to update status of performed activities, exchange valuable information between business, NGO and ministries. Meetings of Stakeholders and Partners can be organized face-to-face or online.
Stakeholders and partners of NDC are invited as experts in the working groups organized by Ministries and Government (review and update of the Digital Agenda for Lithuania according to the current situation in Lithuania, updating and implementing new ICT curriculum from the primary class in schools; MOOC promotion etc.).

Safer Internet Week
Event goal
Organize and actively participate in Safer Internet Day every year during International campaign “Safer Internet Week”.
The main aim is to encourage people to play their part in making the most of the positive opportunities offered online, while giving all technology users – but especially children and young people – the skills, knowledge, resilience and support they need to navigate any online risks they may encounter.

Get Online Week 2017
Event goal
Organize and actively participate in events, seminars, webinars and other awareness raising activities during Telecentre Europe campaign “Get Online Week 2017”.
Three main goals:
- Cybersecurity: use technology and the internet safely, manage your (digital) identity
- eServices: learn to keep up with eServices (eGovernment, eBanking, eHealth, eCommerce)
- Employment and entrepreneurship: learn new skills for jobs and for starting businesses

CodeWeek
Event goal
Awareness raising on importance of computer thinking, coding and programming.
The idea of such activities is to make programming/coding more visible, to show youth, adults and elderly how you bring ideas to life with code, to demystify these skills and bring motivated people together to learn.

Girls in ICT day in Lithuania
Event goal
Awareness raising on importance of ICT for women and girls.
The idea of such activities is to inspire, encourage and support women in technology. One of the aims of the event is to motivate and to encourage young girls to study in ICT or STEM. During this conference organizers will use innovative communication tools and environments by involving more girls from different regions of Lithuania.

Biennial multi-event “Computer Days – 2017”
Event goal
The main objective of the “Computer Days – 2017” is to provide a forum for presentation, discussion and dissemination of technological, research, educational accomplishments in the field of Information Society Technologies. The multi-event traditionally brings together educationalists, teachers, students, computer scientists, engineers, SME personnel and managers, public sector representatives and politicians to summarize the recent achievements and to discuss further directions in the field.

Project goal

GYIT Get Youth into IT: Encouraging and Supporting Young People in their IT Career
Project goal
The key objectives of the project are to encourage and anchor the interest of children in education in IT from an early age, help them in education to acquire new digital skills and facilitate the transition of children from school to the next stage of their IT training via career guidance balance.
